Stars help Indigo Buntings orient their 2,000 mile migrations.
In experiments, IBs in cone-shaped outdoor, ink-pad-bottomed cages
walk south in Fall, north in Spring; on cloudy nights with no stars? It’s chaos.
Not sure if this would help Congress,
but it’s seems like it’s cloudy all the time
under that cone-shaped Capitol.
It’s time to learn from the Indigo Bunting, guys.
Stars can help.

The one and only time I saw an indigo bunting in my yard was a day I have never forgotten! What a beauty!
I see Indigo Buntings in my backyard only once or twice a year. It’s another one of those dust of snow from the hemlock tree moments for me. The surprise of realizing I’m seeing a thing of beauty is grand.

I’ve yet to see one but sure would like it if I did. The 113th, on the other hand, I can do without seeing.
I have what I hope isn’t a morbid fascination with the 113th. But I’m trying to temper my obsession with a study of the birds of the yard and the wisdom they might impart to both me and D.C. (So far? Well, so far I’m entertaining myself, and because I’m hunting for different birds to learn about out there, I’m seeing more birds. Hmmmm. Another lesson that I might impart to 113th! If they hunt for Real Solutions, they may become like that guy who when thinks he’s being poisoned all his food starts tasting funny and suddenly they’ll see solutions where before they thought there were none. Mayhap.)

Oh, Patty, what a great way to start your day: looking out the window for new birds,
delighting in their uniqueness & applying it.
MENTAL FLOSSING.
HI MORGAN!
