Carolina Wrens and Congress: the former could inform the latter.
CWs form bonded pairs. For life. Through thick and thin.
Looking similar, they accomplish it all as a team:
Forage. Protect. Nurture. Nest.
Congressmen are bonded: their job is serve the people.
Accomplish.Through thick and thin.
And with their Brooks Brother suits, pocket squares, wing tips, blue silk ties, and America flag pins?
They look alike too.

There is no sweeter bird, to my eyes, than a plump little winter wren. It brings an instant smile!
Here’s the Winter Wren (which I hope to see before I die troglodyte troglodyte that this almost-cave-dweller little creature is; do you see this bird often Patricia? http://youtu.be/jo0QVThca3U http://youtu.be/qw-NqhxwGWQ versus Carolina Wren singing http://youtu.be/Ry-koSHRdZs.
Sweet harmonies all; another lesson for Congress to go with considerations of bonding so as to get something done.

Great post! I don’t see many wrens around here but I have heard them, often , when I’m in Michigan. A beautiful little call – if only Congress sounded half as good.
John,
Wrens are dandy but their call, well, it can’t compare to my Nonna’s come-n-get-it. On another note, I highly recommend the first few chapters of Frank Bruni’s memoir, Born Round.
It’s such familiar territory, we Italian/Americans are so from that place ~ the place where eating and cooking are competitive sports.
