Snow Geese are why I never affix the word JUST to a flock of pesky Canada Geese.
One time amongst the CGs
I spied a marvelous, graceful, dignified SG,
and it was like the dust of snow from the hemlock tree,
saving a day I’d begun to rue;
like how I felt when Mike Pence increased $ for
schools, jobs, transport, vets, child-protection, and health care.*
A moderate emerges from a flock of “just” Republicans:
A snow goose!

*Mike Pence’s Words: “Our budget proposes an increase in funding for education, including full-day kindergarten, and we fully fund the teachers’ pension each of the next two years…We’ll provide $18 million over the next two years to ensure that all Hoosier workers have the skills they need to find a job in today’s economy…We’re investing nearly $350 million in excess reserves on Indiana’s roads, bridges and infrastructure. I have also set a goal … to procure 3 percent of state contracts from veteran-owned businesses.” (Unlike with Republicans in Congress who are reckless mayhap because they aren’t in charge, it seems that Pence is becoming more responsible–because he IS in charge? Love “it was like the dust of snow from the hemlock tree.” Beautiful.
So, Morgan! I’m on the hunt for variations on dust of snow. Got some?

I long for the day when Pence’s views aren’t at all noteworthy.
I know. I know. Rereading this post I’m tsk-tsking. I need more bird, less politician in my 420s.

I have no comment regarding Mr. Pence, however, I do remember the thrill of spotting a single snow goose amid a flock of Canada geese.
I remember that scene too, Ronnie. It was like the dust of snow from the hemlock tree, don’t you think?

Pesky Canada Geese – these are really our secret weapon. If you want more information, I wrote a post called ‘Canada’s Bird Brigade’ and it, along with the comments, explains it all.
