(I saw a gallup of Common Red Polls–see picture directly above–and mixed in were two Hoary Red Polls–see my photo copy of a picture from the Sibley guide. These irrupting visitors from the Arctic Tundra are amazing. Luckily the other gallup-pictured below– doesn’t summer in the tundra.)

Patty, Your family is sure expanding! How wonderful is that? Can’t be enough
Pickards in this world!!!!!!!
Wanted to tell you that last week we had a big article in the paper about all the
Northern birds that are wintering in Florida this year. Some Gannets and a few others
rarely recorded here. Surely something is happening!
Our house felt like that house in the Cynthia Rylant book where she talks about all that breathing. The irruption of birds is amazing. I loved being in the midst of the gallup of polls. Wonder what Mr. Gallup thinks of that? Take a poll, heh?
Patty (sorry, I’ve had that extra cup of tea that contained puns along with the herbals.)
Perfect time to try out PollDaddy ~ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/polldaddy/

So that is what the little hoary fellow looks like…There is buzz about him everywhere… I am sorry I missed him!
Great picture of your family….I’m with Sayra on the keep them coming notion.
I’m not in charge of the Keep Em Coming notions, but I’ll pass the idea along. Ronnie, please ignore the puns that popped earlier. Going to the shore next week! Get better. We need your ears and eyes to spot those irrupting creatures.
