Avian Pundits here in the NE predict irruptions*:
incursions of birds that don’t normally winter in our area.
Who fly in because of scarcity.
No pine cone seeds or wild fruit.
I hang on Pundit Words About the Birds,
anticipating Red Polls and Pine Siskins.
Just like I do with the 113th Congress.
Will they come? Will they legislate? I do sense scarcity and an urge to irrupt.
I may need help from the avian pundits.

This is from the EveryDayChanteuse (I’ve just discovered her) and Congress should take note. The predators of the song birds that are forced to irrupt may follow them south. Beware indeed. http://youtu.be/K6WMOicS-qM

Thanks for sharing “Bird Irruption” on your blog and for your kind words. I like your blog, too, very creative approach to serious issues!
We’re going to keep track of your project too. What a great idea. You’re giving me courage to tackle a “daily” write.
